You can probably easily find one via google. I'd definitely go local.

Get one who is familiar with Rockbridge Cty. When a "friend" of mine's VT daughter got a speeding ticket for going 87 in a 70 on rt 66 in Warren County, that's what "she" did. Very easy on the google to find a lawyer who worked about a block from the courthouse. My "friend" made her daughter pay the lawyer out of her own money, which cost about $700 I think. It was worth it because the charge got dropped to improper driving (plus a low fine) which is only a 3 point violation and stays on record for 3 years. A regular speeding ticket (1-9 over) is 4 points and 5 years. Reckless driving is 6 points and 11 years, plus depending on the judge you can go to jail.

My "friends" VT son also got a speeding ticket in Rockbridge County but the officer wrote it up at 79 mph. She did not hire a lawyer for this and made him just pay the fine and take the points. I believe those five years are almost up now.
